Hey, all these Dutch tulips, most of which Riet has sent in for members of her group, have now tied with the 14 that came in from the United States! Of the 38 received as of tonight, there are 7 different countries represented. Great job, tatters! And I'm learning some geography, too.

Last Set of Guesses

Here are the last set of guesses I received before Day 8 when the Tulip itself was complete!
After Day 6:
Sherree thinks it's a necklace.
Sylvia thinks maybe a snail, then later changed to a fairy with wings.
Nita says it looks like an owl to her.
After Day 7:
Carol Lawecki is our first correct guesser: a tulip ! Good job, Carol!
And now that Day 9 is up, I'll be very excited to see everyone's work!

More Guesses

Some more guesses I received from you clever tatters:

After Day 4:

Sue thinks it might be a pink chicken, for Easter.
BJ in NM, who is using yellow thread, thinks it could be a yellow chicken, for Easter.
BJ in NM really thinks it is Easter related, but not necessarily an Easter chick.

After Day 5:
Maggie in MO says "Could it turn into a mitten?"
Marjan from Belgium thinks it may be a pussycat or bear.

Stay tuned for more guesses as we wind this project down.

TIAS2 -- Some Early Guesses

The first guess came from Jane Eborall: "My guess? It's NOT a hippo!!!!!!Jane"
No other guesses followed Day 1.

But starting with Day 2:
Marco from the Netherlands thought it could be an Easter egg.
Tine also guessed an Easter egg. A very timely guess, I'll have to admit.

Following Day 3:
BJ in NM thinks it could be a butterfly.
Ginny W can see a flamingo.
Sylvia from Wales also thinks it's a butterfly.

I'll be posting more guesses in the days to come.

Here's Another Design of Mine -- in Beads

I've designed a bead square for the bead quilts being auctioned off this summer to benefit breast cancer research. Go to http://www.shanigansbeadshenanigans.com for more info. Here's my design, and 2 of the several squares I contributed to this cause. The squares are just 1-1/2" each. Here's the pattern on my website if anyone's interested in making one (the deadline is April 1): http://www.lovetatting.com/rosequiltblock.html
